No jacket required at ROUGOL on 21st August

Just to clarify, I mean it’s an informal meeting, not that Phil Collins is performing tracks from his 1985 album.

The holiday season is in full swing, so for the next meeting of the RISC OS User Group of London there will be no formal speaker. Instead, the meeting is to be an informal one, allowing for a general discussion of all things RISC OS over a drink and a meal.

The meeting takes place on Monday, 21st August, from 7:45pm at:

The Blue-Eyed Maid (upstairs, in the restaurant),
173 Borough High Street,
London,
SE1 1HR.

There is no attendance fee, and anyone with an interest in RISC OS who can make it is welcome. As well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, the venue serves a range of hot and cold food from new Indian and English menus.

Located between London Bridge and Borough tube stations, both only a five minute walk away through well lit streets covered by CCTV, the Blue-Eyed Maid is easily accessible by public transport. There is also ample cycle parking very close by, also covered by CCTV.

For anyone driving to the meeting, the Congestion Charge ends at 6:00pm, an hour and three quarters before the meeting starts, but you need to consider that you’ll be contending with central London driving and parking. Remember that parking on double red lines is restricted at all times, and it is best not to park on single red or yellow lines until after 7:00pm. Above all, you should allow extra time, patience, and maps.

You can contact ROUGOL by email, by telephone on 07970 211 629, or via Twitter if you need any help getting to the venue, or for any other information
