Bristol Users meeting, 9th November

The next meeting of Bristol RISC OS Users (BRU) is Wednesday 9th November, starting at around 7:00-7:30pm (though some of the group may arrive earlier1) and continuing until closing time. The meeting will take place at:

The Hope and Anchor pub,
38 Jacobs Wells Road,
Bristol,
BS8 1DR.

Meetings are informal in nature, so there is never a set topic – but recent news and developments usually get a look in; expect, therefore, for the discussion to include the recent London Show. Chris Hall may also bring along the latest version of his GPS-equipped Raspberry Pi, running SatNav.

Parking is on-road – with some local roads being metered, and some free after 6:00pm. For anyone coming by bus, look for those heading towards Queens Road/The Triangle/Park Street – all a short walk from the pub.

The Hope and Anchor has a wide selection of real ales, as well as soft  drinks for those who drive, and serves a selection of food.

Meetings are open to one and all, and are simply a group of people with an interest in RISC OS, Acorn, and anything related, getting together for a drink and a natter – and whether you live in or around Bristol, or just happen to be in the area at the time, you’re welcome to join us.

Bristol RISC OS Users also has a mailing list that any RISC OS user is welcome to join.

  1. In fact, one of the group will definitely be there earlier – that’ll be me. Coming straight from where I’m working, I’m usually at the pub by around 6:15pm.
