Date announced for RISC OS Southwest 2016

Mark the last Saturday in February in your diaries for #rosw2016, folks!

For the last few years, the RISC OS Southwest Show has been organised by Orpheus Internet and R-Comp Interactive, who stepped in at the last minute to organise the 2012 event after it became clear that its previous organiser, RISCOS Ltd, had decided not to proceed.

The ongoing success of the show since then means it should be no surprised that the two companies have joined forces yet again, and have now set a date for the next show – so mark 27th February, 2016 in your diaries.

The show, which will be open to the public from 10:30am until 4:00pm, will take place at the Webbington Hotel, Loxton, BS26 2HU, which is approximately 25 miles South of Bristol, and approximately ten minutes drive from Juction 22 of the M5.

The organisers have yet to publish a list of exhibitors, but say that many of the ‘usual suspects’ have already confirmed their attendance. They also plan to have a “Raspberry Jam” area to encourage home coders, and introduce more people to the RISC OS scene – although that only works if the event is seen by people outside of the scene so that they become aware of it, so the more everyone does to publicise the event, the better.

The starting point? Banners are already available on the show website – so add one to your own websites – and the hashtag for the event is #rosw2016 – so get tweeting!

And I’ll see you there!
