Upcoming meetings in Southampton, Bristol

The end is next meetings are nigh!

The Southampton Acorn Users Group – SAUG – usually meets on the second Tuesday of each month and September’s meeting will therefore take place on Tuesday, 9th September, with the usual starting time of 7:00pm, running on until 9:00pm. The meeting takes place at:

Itchen College Sports Centre,
Deacon  Road,
Southampton.

Look for the College Centre – an open area with tables and chairs, adjacent to the Sports Centre Reception Desk.

Dave Higton, who posted a reminder about the meeting a couple of days ago, says he’ll be bringing along a selection of RISC OS computers, and encourages visitors to bring theirs.

Admission is free, and all are welcome.

Another meeting for which admission is free, and nobody is turned away, is that of Bristol RISC OS Users (BRU), who meet on the second Wednesday of every second month.

The Bristol meeting, therefore, takes place the day after the Southampton one, on Wednesday, 10th September, in its usual venue:

The Hope and Anchor,
38 Jacobs Wells Road
Bristol
BS8 1DR

The meeting starts around 7:00pm-7:30pm, and ends at closing time, and takes place in a cosy, friendly pub serving a wide variety of real ales, soft drinks for those who drive, and a good selection of food.

There is no set topic for the meeting, but with the London Show now being only seven weeks away, that’s likely to form part of the topic, and Vince Hudd will be bringing along the latest prototype RiscPiC-mini cases, along with two Raspberry Pis, a model B, and a model B+
